This is gonna be a short post. It's crazy keeping up with school and all the exploring that I want to do. Last Sunday, my roommates and some apartment friends went up to Piazzale Michelangelo for the first time and it was gorgeous! Despite the sun, it was pretty cold up on the hill. After a couple hours, a busker set up station near by and my roommate was taking pictures of him and asked if she could play a song or two--and she was really good--better than the first guy!

Later, most of our group stayed to experience the Gregorian chants and mass held in the "Basilica of San Miniato al Monte" and it was amazing. The church was beautiful and really old--some of the frescos had been removed to show the sketches underneath. The officiants of the service preached in Italian and from behind an intimidating fence/cage. I was pretty surprised that I could actually understand some of the words and the gist of some of the passages.

This weekend I'm going on the program's Venice weekend trip--and the weather is supposed to be kinda nice too! I'm really excited but I will have to study at some point as I have my first test next week--and its a psychology test...so...
