Florence, Italy
So today marks my first week in Florence...but it feels like I've been here a lot longer. There has been so much to do and see, between school and general chores, and walking...there has been so much walking.
The first night in the hotel was pretty much a whirlwind. From the time we all got off the charter bus (where I saw just how different--crazy--the driving style is here) to being the hotel room with some roommates and not figuring out how the lights turned off.
Now, however, I feel myself starting to settle in, both into the apartment and school. Unfortunately, I haven't had much time to draw, sketch, or paint anything-- but having brought my camera, I have managed to take a few pictures that I can later use as reference photos.
One last remark before I have to do some homework, the architecture here is awe-inspiring. Of course, the Duomo is breathe taking, but every street here has so much creature and history. I feel like I'd be happy to just simply wander the streets, admiring the view, and see something new at every turn.
